If you ever go to Brecon, you MUST have the savoury pies served here. Simply out of this world. My partner's comment "It's almost worth moving to Wales just for this! Even the gravy is good, which is hardly ever true."
We both had the steak and ale pie. Exquisitely seasoned and an excellent balance between crust and generous filling. Great selection of Welsh beers and cider - even gluten free.
😋
Dog- friendly too!
Long thin bar with lots of bottled craft beer and 4 hand pulls. We went on a Tuesday night which may be why only 2 beers were on, both were fine and reasonably priced. Music seemed to be coming from a small speaker behind the bar and was only audible to the one staff member and the locals at the bar, so the atmosphere where we were sitting was quite lacking
We ended up here after a long walk along the canal, we just kind a picked st random finding somewhere that was dog 🐶 friendly. Freindly welcome and quickly ordered our food. We both went for pies as that seemed to be there specialty. Both pies were amazing the veggie pumpkin one and venison + damson.
Both had root veg and chips and all components were amazing 🤤. Sometimes sides seem like a after thought but these were all really good and j found myself struggling to decide what part to eat more of as I got full. 😂
Excellent place to stop for lunch and a pint. I loved the cranberry, brie, bacon sandwich- perfect balance of savory and sweet. Huge selection of beers: cask, tap, cans. Exceptional service; we had her hopping and she did fantastic! Highly recommended #thischickdrinksbeer
Popped in for a drink and just missed the kitchen closing at 3pm. Nicely furnished bar with a great range of beers, lagers & ales, including a non-alcoholic option.
Very friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Dog friendly. Not expensive. A gin & tonic, Afghan pale ale and a couple of packets of brown bag crisps just over £11.
Hey All! Please be advised, that me and my friend came down to Wales for a hiking trip and were looking for a place to eat good food and drink nice beer. We went to Brecon Tap the service and food were truly amazing! Would recommend to anyone! 🤩😍
Great find after a fairly long drive.
Thought the place was closed but after peering through the autumnal steamed up windows what a joy we have had. Great ale and very fine food from the Sunday menu. Top job
Great place for drinks and a lively atmosphere. The live band were very good and a good range of beers for the driver. The bar staff were very friendly and welcoming.
